The adjoining Mowbray Golf Club is one of the most picturesque and welcoming golf courses in the state. Current residents regularly play the course and can attest to the friendly rivalry between players of all ages that live to play a round or two of golf.

If racing is your pleasure, the Mowbray Racing Centre is also within walking distance of Mowbray Links and hosts regular thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound racing events. The main event each year is The Launceston Cup held in February.
